Why Bead Mule?
Strange name, I know. But it came about thanks to my husband, Matt. No, he doesn't have anything to do with beading. But, and this is story number one, he went to Amsterdam a while ago and brought back several hundred dollars worth of beads. Most people smuggle in other things from Amsterdam, but in my family, yes, it's beads! I can't tell you story number two because Matt thinks it's unmanly. O.K., I'll tell you anyway. His office used to be close to my favorite bead shop, and I'd often ask him to make a run for emergency supplies. Instead of a pack mule, he started calling himself a "bead mule". So there you have it. "Bead Mule" and the jewelry you see here are the result! (if you talk to Matt, make sure and tell him he's still studly, O.K.?!)
I don't ever make a gazillion of the same thing. In fact, I hardly ever make more than one or two, so the piece you buy is truly unique. Feel free to call or email if there's something special you're looking for; I'd love to customize a necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings just for you (and I won't charge you an arm and a leg for it, either).
